From the 13th century to today The history of the Château de Floure
Before becoming the establishment you know today, the Château de Floure was a Romanesque abbey, built in the 13th century. The castle was a stopover with the Via Aquitania passing through the middle of the courtyard.
In the 16th century, the castle was home to a bourgeois merchant civilization. It was Gaston Bonheur, the writer of the vineyards, who subsequently became the owner of this residence, where he devoted himself to his two passions: writing and making good wine. He was able to preserve the soul and character of the building.
